Parsons the New School For Design // 2012 Graduates

Parsons the New School for Design, ranked #2, is the American equivalent to the British Central St. Martin’s, ranked #1. The Central St. Martins alumni consists of many of the best designers today including Stella McCartney, John Galliano (triple <3), Alexander McQueen (a million <3), Phoebe Philo, Christopher Kane, Hussein Chalayan (double <3), Zac Posen, Hamish Bowles, and Paul Smith. I love following the fashion shows around graduation time to see the emerging new talent. Parson’s alumni is nothing to sniff at. It has developed many amazing designers including Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Tom Ford (<3), Cushnie et Ochs (double <3) Anna Sui, Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, and Donna Karan. The show consisted of 39 designers. The stand outs from Parsons were awarded the window displays to debut their clothing at the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship in midtown Manhattan.
