Runner’s Fuel

by WildChild

Every morning I make a nutrient packed smoothie to kick start my day.  This smoothie is filled with vitamins, antioxidants, protein and carbs, eliminating my need for any caffeine.  All in all this comes to about 400 calories, and gives me 3-4 hours of energy for my morning workouts, which I started following with non-fat chocolate milk and blueberries.  A little tip from Runner’s World for the best snack after a workout to keep trim and provide nourishment to your muscles.

The ingredients include:

berries & bananas (tip: buy bananas in bulk and peel and freeze them)
